Removal



Disconnect the intake air duct from the air filter and resonator.

Disconnect the air flow sensor connector.

Remove the three bolts securing the air filter housing.

Remove the air filter housing.

Remove the air flow sensor from the intake duct.

Caution! Do not carry or hang the sensor by the wires.


Examination



Check the air filter housing, cover and filter element for deformation, corrosion or damage.

Check the air intake duct for damage.

Check the filter element for clogging, contamination or damage. If the filter element is slightly contaminated or clogged, remove dust and other contaminants by blowing it with compressed air from the outside (from the side facing the intake manifold) (Fig. 2.192).

Installation



Install the air filter in the reverse order of removal.
