Place the front wheels on a turn radius measuring stand and measure the turning angles of the steered wheels (Fig. 5.2).
The nominal value of the steering wheel turning angles is given below.
Inner wheel: 35.1° ±1°30'.
Outer wheel: 30.7°.
If the steering angle is not within the specified value, adjust the linkage (front wheel alignment) and check the steering angle again.
Note: After adjusting the steering rods, install the steering rod boots so that they are not twisted.
The steering angle of the inner wheel changes by 0.86° for every one revolution of the steering rod.
