1. To open the hood, pull the hood release handle towards you.
2. While pressing the safety lever upward, lift the hood.
3. Remove the support rod from the retainer on the hood.
4. Support the hood with a support rod.
To close the hood, remove the support rod and secure it in the retainer. Slowly lower the hood to a position 30 cm above the closed position and release the hood to allow it to fall under its own weight. Make sure the hood is securely latched.
Caution: Before closing the hood, make sure you remove the support rod.
Warning:
- Before driving, make sure that the hood is securely closed. A hood that is not completely closed may suddenly open while the vehicle is moving, resulting in complete loss of visibility, which in turn may lead to a traffic accident (crash).
- When you open the hood, always insert the support rod into the hole provided for this purpose. This will prevent the rod from slipping and possibly causing you injury.
- Do not move the vehicle with the hood open, as this will obstruct your view and the hood may fall and become damaged.
