Removal

Note: Do not disassemble or repair the air bag module.

Note: Do not drop the unit or allow the module to become contaminated with water, oil or grease. Replace the module if it is dented, cracked, deformed or rusty.

Note: The cushion module should be stored on a flat surface with the pad facing up. Do not place any objects on the cushion pad.

Note: Do not allow the pillow module to heat up above 93°C.

Note: The detonation and disposal of the cushion must be carried out according to a special procedure.

Note: Never attempt to measure the resistance of the airbag fuse, even with a special tester: the airbag may suddenly explode, which will lead to an accident.

Note: If the airbag has deployed, the airbag module must be replaced with a new one.

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Attention! Before starting work, take a break of at least 30 seconds.

Remove the glove box.

Disconnect the passenger airbag module connector.

Remove the front panel and remove the passenger airbag module.

The passenger airbag module trim is integrated with the dashboard trim. Therefore, if the airbag is blown, the dashboard must be replaced.
