When working with electrical equipment, always disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.

Attention
  • 1. Before connecting or disconnecting the negative wire, be sure to turn off the ignition and lighting switches (position OFF). (If this is not done, there is a risk of damaging the semiconductor electronic radio components - ERC).
  • 2. For models equipped with a multi-port fuel injection system, after completing the operating operations (and with the negative (-) battery cable connected), warm up the engine and idle it to stabilize the engine control mode, and then check that the idle speed is normal.


2. For models equipped with a multi-port fuel injection system, after…

  • Engine coolant temperature: 80-95°C.
  • Lamps, electric fans, installation devices: OFF.
  • Drive axle in block with gearbox: gear shift lever in neutral position (in cars with automatic transmission (A/T) in "N" or in "P").
  • Steering wheel: in neutral (middle) position.
