2. Stop the engine, turn the ignition key to position "LOCK" and turn on the alarm.
3. Securely lock the parking brake, move the shift lever to the reverse gear position (models with manual transmission) or selector to position "R" (models with automatic transmission).
4. Remove the jack and tools.
5. Place a wheel chock under the wheel that is diagonal to the jacking point.
6. Install the jack in one of the places specially designed for it, shown in the figure.
Attention:
- Avoid placing the jack on a sloping, uneven, or soft surface, and make sure that the supporting surface is free of sand or small stones. Otherwise, the jack may tilt and move from the installation position or fall, resulting in an accident. Always place the jack on a flat, hard surface.
- Install the jack only in the recommended position. Raising the vehicle with an incorrectly positioned jack can damage the vehicle (dents on the body, etc.), the vehicle slipping off the jack, or the jack may fall, injuring you.
- Before installing the jack, make sure that the supporting surface is free of sand or small stones.
- Do not start the engine or leave the engine running when the vehicle is jacked up, as the vehicle may move.
- Never stand under a vehicle if the vehicle is only supported by a jack.
- Only use the jack to raise the vehicle when changing a wheel.
- Do not lift the vehicle if anyone is inside.
7. Assemble the jack handle as shown.
8. Turn the handle clockwise to jack up the vehicle.
9. After carrying out the work, lower the vehicle and fold the jack and tools.
