If the drive axle or suspension components are damaged or the vehicle is towed with the rear wheels raised, use a towing dolly under the front wheels.
On vehicles with a manual transmission, when towing without using a towing dolly, set the ignition key to the "ACC" position and the gearshift lever to the neutral position.
Caution: When towing a vehicle without using a towing dolly, do not remove the key from the ignition switch or leave it in the "LOCK" position.
On vehicles with automatic transmission, when towing, it is necessary to use a towing dolly under the front wheels.
It is prohibited to tow a vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission with the rear part of the vehicle forward with the rear wheels raised. This can seriously damage the transmission. It is recommended to tow the vehicle with its full load on the platform of a tow truck.
