Removal and installation the ignition coil (Mitsubishi Matrix)

Remove the ignition system fuse (fuse link F, rated at 30 A).

Remove the cylinder head cover.

Disconnect the ignition wires from the coils and disconnect the spark plug wires.

Loosen the ignition coil assembly mounting bolt and remove the coils.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Routing high voltage spark plug wires

Incorrect installation of high-voltage spark plug wires leads to the induction of EMF in adjacent wires, which can cause misfires, jerking and twitching of the car at high speeds.
