Put the belt on the tensioner pulley and install the tensioner on the engine.

If the tensioner is already installed, loosen the tensioner mounting bolts to allow the belt to be put on (pic. 2.203).
Tightening torque of the belt tensioner mounting bolts: 20–27 Nm.
Put on the belt in the order shown below.
Alternator - power steering pump - crankshaft - air conditioning compressor.

Using a 16 mm wrench, turn the tensioner arm clockwise about 14 degrees and slide the belt onto the idler (pic. 2.204).
Check that the belt is not damaged and that the belt is properly seated in the pulley grooves.

The belt tension gauge must be between the marks «MIN» And «MAX». If not, replace the belt (pic. 2.205).
