Adjusting the door lock retainer (Hyundai Santa Fe CM)

Make sure the door fasteners are tight and that it closes securely. If necessary, adjust the door as follows

Draw a line around the lock catch.



Loosen the lock retainer screws and move the lock retainer inward or outward. Move the lock retainer up or down to align it with the lock hole. Then tighten the screws slightly and check the operation of the lock (Fig. 8.20).

Note: Hold the outside door handle facing outward and push the door toward the body to check that the latch striker is tight.
