The outside rearview mirrors can be adjusted in any direction to provide the best possible rear view. Both the right and left mirrors can be adjusted using the remote control outside rearview mirror switch (Fig. 1.51).

Fig. 1.52. Adjusting the angle of the outside rearview mirrors

To adjust the position of the mirror, move the selection lever to the right or left to activate the adjustment mechanism of the corresponding mirror. The angle of the mirror can be adjusted by pressing the corresponding side of the switch button, as shown in Figure 1.52.

Caution! Avoid pressing the switch for too long. Scraping ice from the mirror face may scratch it. Use a sponge, soft cloth, or approved de-icer to remove ice. Be careful when judging the size and distance of any object visible in the passenger side outside rearview mirror. This rearview mirror has a convex surface. Therefore, objects reflected in it appear smaller and further away than they actually are.

When you press the rear window defroster switch, the heating of the outside rear-view mirrors is also turned on (Fig. 1.53).

To eliminate fogging or icing, press the rear window defroster switch. The mirrors will be heated, providing a good view to the rear in any weather. To turn off the heater, press the rear window defroster switch again. The outside rearview mirror heater switches off automatically after 20 minutes.

(The full version is located on the website: HyundaiBook)

To fold the outside rearview mirrors, push them towards the rear of the vehicle (Fig. 1.54).

The outside side rearview mirrors may be pressed against the car door windows when parking in tight spaces.

Warning! Do not adjust the position of the outside rearview mirrors while the vehicle is moving. This may result in loss of control of the vehicle and a traffic accident (accident) with serious or fatal consequences or damage to property.
